Over the last days, we went through a number of use cases which could be supported by Omnifeather layer.

Today, I would like to expand on the JETON use case.

JETON is a digital token for real-world transactions.

Since the COVID-19 crisis, the number of digital live events has grown significantly.

Unfortunately, at the same time the participation rate has drop. In fact it is so easy to register on plenty of event and then just cancel or not attend.

Obviously when you attend physically to an event it is another story. When you need to cancel transport or hotels the price is usual far above zero.

JETON has been created to reward people when attending events.

Each organizer has the ability to define his own reward program.

At the end of the day, the objective is to distribute JETON to each participant’s wallet so they can use it to buy entrance ticket or get discount later on.

Thanks to the blockchain transactions. All the time spent in sessions will be recorded and allocated to the right participants.

A full-ecosystem will be build around JETON.

This project could give some spot light to the Feathercoin project as well.

As this stage, it is still a show-case but it is definitely the kind of application that we could see tomorrow running on Omnifeather.
