The BEST Trades I've Made: Jump the Gap, Beat the Bots
What's good folks. I hope everyone is healthy of the mind, body and soul during this pandemic.
I want to share a bit of advice I've learned through practical real world experience of trying to make a buck on trading. I'm no pro, but I'll mention some points to watch out for and what has been the must successful strategy.
Before anything, you need to make a distinction between your trading stack and your holding stack. NEVER use all of your holdings for a trade. Only trade with a small percent of your total assets, and with a small percent of your trading assets. Always test the waters first with a small amount before moving to larger amounts. And don't be afraid to pull out when it doesn't work, and have a number before you make the trade.
"I'm going to buy this for $X, and sell at $Y. If I lose Z%, I will sell at a loss."
AVOID THE SUNK COST FALLACY.
Trade against USDT or BTC. Any Sats gained is good. Never be greedy about maximizing a theoretical number instead of getting away with more REAL sats or USDT NOW. Remember that they want your Bitcoin! Don't give it to them! Take theirs instead! Bitcoin is king!
Now...
The best situation has been finding a decent volume coin with a high gap between buy/sell orders. The idea is not to wait for a time in the future where the price is higher for you to sell your bag. Instead, you want the price to maintain stability, and simply keep jumping sides between the gap from selling high and buying low.
Maybe the price difference is minimal, a few cents, but if you can continue leaping between the gap with orders getting filled, your gains will grow over time.
A good situation for this is when there is ample volume from trading bots. Now, make a distinction between wash-trading bots and trading bots. Wash-trading bots are easy to see. The orders fill within a second, or never even make it to the order book. You can find this too by looking at the price movement.

Now look at these two charts. WOW! The relatively stable and same price movement, allegedly with $100k and $300k volume! Bullshit!
These places are what you avoid, as the wash-trading bots will likely NEVER pick up your orders, unless you buy their own.
If you feel risky, you could try timing it, as the clergies movement is up to down and back over time. But I'd suggest staying the HELL away.
No, you need to look for bots that purchase relatively the same amount periodically, and will leave their orders on the book until filled. THOSE are the ones that will fill your buy and sells. Combine that with a large gap, and you can milk the trading bots.
But be careful of getting trapped within a price after buying, or missing a pump after selling. What I mean is, they might get you to buy then suddenly pull all their buy orders away, letting the price fall after you buy, forcing you to sell at a lower price that they control.
Watch out for small units of orders. The price might be $1.00 currently, but if the only buy order is at $0.98 for a small amount, and the next level is at $0.75, it will quickly and likely dump to that lowest price.
Sometimes its best to purchase a large amount and sell at large quantities, others times it best to move small amounts many times. You got to make the call between small quantity many times or large quantity fewer times.

Here's one risky trick. If you want to push a price up when you're trying to sell, you can make lots of buy orders pushing up in the hopes of getting someone to out bid you. then you can pull your buy orders back so they aren't filled, and hope the other buyers keep theirs to maintain the price up. This can help make your high sale price less high relative to the new buy orders, and hopefully get it filled.
But again, out of everything, the best trades I've made are when I find a clueless bot and just jump the gap top to bottom, moving small amounts many times, think 2-4 trades being filled in a minute. If you find that, mine that gold like no tomorrow.
Good luck out there! Find a gap and try swinging it!
