Why Most Cryptos Follow Bitcoin Trend

If you look at today's crypto heatmap, you will notice that all cryptos follow the same trend as Bitcoin, except maybe a few ones:

Cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin (BTC), are considered to be highly correlated and tend to move in the same direction. This is because Bitcoin is the largest and most established cryptocurrency and is generally seen as the leader of the cryptocurrency market. When Bitcoin moves, other cryptocurrencies often follow suit, as investors and traders tend to buy and sell them in tandem. As such, many investors use Bitcoin as a benchmark for gauging the performance of other cryptocurrencies, which is why they often follow the same trend.

If you want to follow a different trend from Bitcoin, there are three options:

To buy stablecoins such as Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), TrueUSD (TUSD), Paxos Standard (PAX) or Binance USD (BUSD). All of these coins are backed by fiat currency and have different levels of liquidity, stability, and trustworthiness.
To short Bitcoin, by opening leveraged short positions on the Bitcoin market. This means you can take a position in the market that will profit if the price of Bitcoin goes down. By opening a short position, you can potentially make money from a falling Bitcoin price without actually having to own it.
To identify crypto gems which have a different trend from Bitcoin. Crypto gems are early-stage projects that have the potential to become large and valuable coins. They are often characterized by low market capitalization and high risk, but also high rewards. For instance, Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX) and Polygon (MATIC) were crypto gems in the early stage, but they are large coins now, evolving with Bitcoin. The key is to identify the cryptos with a low market cap which could replace them in the next few years.
