I'll admit it - I discovered SyncSwap initially because I wanted to get the airdrop from zkSync - the first Ethereum zero-knowlege proof rollup.
However, I actually started to like the platform, and hence I stayed on it, even after the airdrop.
Furthermore, with ZK Fest going on and all those prizes for content creation, I see some good opportunities to stay there for a while. Let me explain.
As a layer-2, zkSync is fast and cheap. I was used to Ethereum's gas fees feeling like a punch to the gut, but here, transactions are practically instantaneous and cost a few cents.
I dipped my toes in the water with some ETH/USDC pools - low risk, you know, gotta do your own research and all that. But the APRs (Annual Percentage Returns) were decent.
Regarding Aqua Pool, it offers interesting features like concentrated liquidity, automatic rebalancing, and dynamic fees. It sounds like a bunch of tech jargon. So, to make it clearer: You do not need to rebalance and reopen the closed positions everytime it's out of range like on Uniswap, it makes it automatically for you, and hence you save time and money.
So, yeah, I started out chasing an airdrop, but I ended up finding a platform I enjoy using. That's why I'm sharing. No financial advice.
