How to Earn HUGE Rewards on Sonic Labs (And My Strategy to Maximize Them)

By BreakdownFab | DecryptLab | 5 Apr 2025

I think many people confuse Sonic Labs with Sonic on Solana. But they’re completely different. Sonic Labs is actually the evolution of Fantom—yes, the same Fantom network—now relaunched as a blazing-fast Layer-1 chain built for DeFi and Web3.

Sonic Labs is currently offering big incentives to early users. According to some insiders, this might be the biggest airdrop of 2025...

If you want to get involved, here’s how to set everything up and start earning points that could lead to serious rewards.

Step 1: Set Up a Self-Custodial Wallet

To interact with the Sonic ecosystem, you need a wallet where you control your private keys. Popular options include Rabby Wallet, MetaMask, OKX Wallet, Trust Wallet, and Bitget Wallet.

  1. Install the Wallet: Download your wallet app or browser extension.

  2. Create a New Wallet: Follow the instructions and save your recovery phrase somewhere safe.

  3. Add the Sonic Network:

    • Easy Option: Go to Chainlist.org, connect your wallet, search for "Sonic," and add the network in one click.

    • Manual Setup:

Step 2: Get S Tokens

You’ll need S to participate in most ecosystem activities:

  1. Buy on Centralized Exchanges: S is available on major platforms like Binance and Bybit.

  2. Withdraw to Your Wallet: Make sure to select the Sonic network when you withdraw your S to avoid any issues.

Step 3: Bridge ETH and USDC to Sonic

If you want to use other assets like ETH or USDC in Sonic DeFi protocols, you’ll need to bridge them over. In my case, I use Rhino.fi:

  1. Go to Rhino.fi and connect your wallet.

  2. Select the source chain (e.g., Optimism) and the destination chain (Sonic).

  3. Choose the asset you want to bridge (e.g., ETH or USDC).

  4. Confirm the transaction and wait a few minutes for the transfer to complete.

Step 4: Start Earning Rewards with Sonic Points

Now that you’ve got S and other assets on Sonic, it’s time to earn:

  1. Visit my.soniclabs.com/points

  2. Connect your wallet

  3. Use referral code XCH0BL to get a head start

  4. Start earning points by:

    • Holding supported tokens

    • Providing liquidity

    • Borrowing/lending

    • Using supported dApps and protocols

My Strategy: Lending + LP = Double Rewards

Here’s what I’m doing to rack up rewards:

  1. Lend USDC and ETH on Aave: Earn interest while using them as collateral.

  2. Borrow S: Using the USDC/ETH collateral.

  3. Provide Liquidity: Pair the borrowed S with ETH and deposit into a liquidity pool on Shadow Exchange.

This earns:

  • Interest from lending

  • Rewards and fees from liquidity provisioning

  • Extra Sonic points for doing both

Other Strategies Worth Trying

  • Staking ETH or USDC: On Rings Money to earn yield and points.

  • Staking S: Simple and effective—stake S on Beets for yield and points.

  • Diversified LPs: Explore other pools and protocols in the Sonic ecosystem to maximize exposure and rewards.

Sonic is moving fast, and early adopters are in a great position to benefit. Get set up, start earning, and join the momentum.
