As you may have noticed, Ethereum gas fees have dropped. You can currently withdraw ERC20 tokens from Ethereum mainnet for a few $ whereas it would have costed $30 only 2 weeks ago. If you have tokens left on Ethereum layer-1 mainnet, it is the right time to withdraw them. The question is: what to do with those tokens?
Layer-2 opportunities
One option is to transfer your tokens from Ethereum layer-1 to a layer-2 or sidechain:
- Polygon is a very convenient sidechain to play with. It is not a real layer-2, but at least it allows to make DeFi at low-cost.
- Arbitrum & Optimism are real layer-2 working with optimistic rollups which have not yet released their tokens & hence there might be airdrops...
- ZkSync and Starknet are real layer-2 working with Zk-rollups which have not yet released their tokens either... & hence there may be airdrops too...
