Are Crypto Airdrops The Biggest SCAMs Ever?

By Bfab | Good vibes | 19 Jan 2024

At the beginning, there was the Uniswap airdrop. Remember, the first DEX on Ethereum... I was happy to get this one... Twice, because I had two wallets.

Then, there were the Optimism and the huge Arbitrum airdrops. I was very happy to get these both ones, particularly Arbitrum, twice again!

Now, it seems every new project is making an airdrop for its promotion. So most of us are running after these airdrops for easy money. But are they all worth it? Not sure, let's have a look:

  • Now, I am trying to get the free testnet airdrops. Nothing to pay, just a few actions to do. Rewards could be huge. One of these free airdrops is DOP (Data Ownership Protocol) testnet. There are only a few actions to do to get it. You may use my referral link to participate: https://doptest.dop.org?id=BICzJj5
  • And then, there are the other ones... For instance, I got the Celestia (TIA) airdrop which was huge and then I staked my TIA which allowed me to get Dymension (DYM) one... But then I am wondering if they will propose to stake DYM to get some other airdrops... What's the next step? So I can only recommend when you get an airdrop to sell at least a part of it instead of restaking it to get another one. Otherwise, it sounds like a Ponzi...

Disclaimer: That's only my opinion. Please do your own research and invest only the money that you can afford to lose. Crypto is highly volatile.
