Cough Ad Board

Billboards have long been used as a very popular marketing tactic. But the app I'm about to talk about takes billboard definition to a whole new level. Billboards were equipped with smoke detectors and motion sensors. Actually, a different design could have been made, but in this example, smokers are addressed. The billboard was placed in an area where smokers usually stop and smoke, and when someone enters the area and starts smoking, the smoke detector on the billboard detects the smoke and starts playing a video of someone coughing on the screen. Then the video ends and smoking cessation ads appear on the screen. Surprisingly, this sign has indeed been quite successful in attracting attention. So much so that, according to the reports, this billboard had an effect of approximately 90% on the targeted audience. If this was effective, different ad designs could also make a difference in many issues.

Camden Bench

Years ago, street benches, called Camden Bench, began to appear all over London. This bench was a special piece of concrete designed to curb antisocial behavior. The authorities in this city wanted to make sure that the benches made for public seating were also used by the right people. Camden bench was designed so that the homeless could not sleep on it. Some people claimed on social media that these structures were built not against the homeless, but against the lazy vagrants in the city. However, this method was still highly criticized by the masses. It was noticed that even skateboarders do not use these tapes. As a result, you can see that these expensive concrete benches are almost never used.

Smart City

What I was about to tell you now may sound far away. However, what I  am talking about will appear in the near future. Companies like Google have bought large amounts of land to build their smart cities and are already getting to work. 

So what is a smart city and what does it include?

A smart city is said to be at the cutting edge of technology in every way. For example, some systems will be installed to reduce the city's attrition. Free wifi will be available throughout the city. Personalized results that appear on your devices as you walk, and much more…

To be honest, no one knows exactly what a smart city will bring to our lives. Because there is no example yet. On the other hand, of course, many cities are technologically developing and are considered modern, but the concept of the smart city goes far beyond that. The main feature of these cities is that they will be built on technology and therefore they will be a new type of city in their own right. However, there were some problems with privacy, which has a very important place in technology, and many projects were stopped because of this.
