the water has fallen
as if she had burst
the blue lake in the sky
and that piece of paper got wet

could have been a ship
going quietly down the street
if ships existed
wet
that float
if the water forgive
my handwriting
without reading it.
oh the memory
of the water
unable to float
between the boats
that they go to the river
down the street that goes down.
