Where to get the solar cells?
You can get them through the site of ebay.com or on aliexpress.com looking for the word "diy solar panel", I would recommend the solar cell package with the flux pen, wire, tin, and some others that come in the product .
How to solder cell by cell
1.- First before welding, you should know that the part of the cell where the silicon is or higher is the negative side and the positive part is where it is only the back of the cell.
2.- The connection between photovoltaic cells is very simple, it only consists in welding the connection in series as if they were batteries in which each cell is a 1.5v battery, according to the laws of the electronics it must be soldered serially as an example positive (+) with negative (-).
Remember that the more solar cells you have connected in series, the higher the voltage and ampere, which depends on the characteristics of your photovoltaic cell.
3.- You must first add a little tin to the part of the aluminum strip and then apply flux to the cell where it will be welded.
4.- Now solder the positive of the cell that is being the part where silicon is not welded and remember to apply flux before and it should be stuck without damaging the cell, do the same with another cell but in the silicon part weld with flux
5.- Now you have two cells, one with the positive terminal welded and the other with the negative, what you must do is put these cells together, for this you are going to use the positive terminal of the bottom part and solder it with tin and flux in the part above the other cell and after welding you should look like this.
6.- Congratulations it is always advisable to have a solar cell circuit and how many of them you are going to use I recommend you have your circuits either in Proteus or livewire to see cell counts you will need to generate a certain voltage and how many watts.
7.- As you saw earlier you will have to create more pairs of two and join them so that they adjust to the ideal voltage that you hope to obtain, so get to work and keep creating more, now I will show you my solar panel finished in the I show you how it works.
