Searching the Matrix: Morpheus.Network ("MRPH")

What is Morpheus.Network?

Morpheus.Network ("MRPH") is currently listed at £0.3634 with a total market cap of £16,889,758 (the result of a circulating supply of 47,180,014 which is almost the entire supply of coins). Morpheus.Network is a supply chain software as a service ("SaaS") middleware platform integrating old and new technologies which targets the shipping industry. A software as a service (otherwise known as cloud application services) use the internet to deliver applications managed by a third-party. MRPH acts by providing supply chain managers with shipment and item visibility to automate and optimise safe and secure supply chains saving both time and money. It should be noted that MRPH was designed with world leading shipping, customs & banking firms to create a comprehensive, automated supply chain platform utilising blockchain technology.

By utilising all the best blockchain protocols available (such as data processing with Holochain and making payments with Stellar) and reconciling it to Ethereum, Morpheus.Network has significant scope to grow alongside improvements in blockchain protocols. It is also provided with significant non-blockchain avenues for growth such as improvements in the potential of API's and IoT triggers - essentially anything that will assist with simplifying global trade.

Theoretically, this should make the platform future proof. Advancements in technology will simply enhance the ecosystem further as they can be integrated. By integrating the endless possibilities of blockchain into into a dashboard, the barriers to adopting cryptocurrency eases which opens up the potential global reach of Morpheus.Network.

What is the MRPH token required for?

MRPH is Morpheus.Network's token which is required for automation. It allows Ethereum-based Smart Contracts to be used. Tokens can be used as a value based utility (as cash), or to pay for transaction fees.

When a payment is settled, 1% of the transaction value is converted to MRPH. This amount is locked through a smart contract for the duration of the shipment. Upon reconciliation on the Ethereum network, funds are distributed throughout the masternode operators in reward for supporting the network. Increases in shipments processed within the lock up periods will result in a higher price on the internal exchange due to reducing supply which will give the tokens an inherent value.

In essence, MRPH tokens power the necessary components to optimise global trade.

Where can you buy MRPH?

MRPH is not as readily available as some of my most recent posts that were available on Binance. It can be purchased on Bilaxy (MRPH/ETH) and is also available on decentralised exchanges such as UniSwap (MRPH/WETH). Note that people may take this as a positive as listings on larger exchanges should result in some price action.

What does Morpheus.Network have in plan for the future?

Their website states that they look to have "up to 3000 customers signed and using the platform by 2024, generating $100M in APR". Their previous estimation of 100 customers by 2021 was achieved and so we can expect there to have been some analysis into arriving at this figure, albeit a very optimistic figure.

The rest of the website and their social media does not give many clues surrounding the future which is something we can hold as a criticism against the team.

Conclusions

The concept behind the product seems like one of the best concepts that I have seen to date with cryptocurrencies and blockchains. However, the communication regarding the future makes me a little uneasy as you would expect some sort of chatter to help investors understand what they are dealing with. I would imagine that new entrants to the market would be able to build these partnerships and case studies too over time due to the quality of the potential product. Morpheus.Network has the benefit of being the first mover but a lack of communication makes me just slightly uneasy and not something I would say "definitely yes" to yet.

Diving into the moonshots
Diving into the moonshots

Hey all, this is going to be an educational blog looking at teaching me about the low market cap coins ("mooncoins") that people could look at dedicating a small portion of their portfolio with for long term, high gains. We'll look at the coins as they are ranked on CoinMarketCap and will go through each one and give my view on whether I think they have potential or are dead in the water. I hope you are able to join me on this adventure and for all of us to gain together.
