Studies say that clothes represent a person’s characteristics and personality. I agree with that since people make judgments based on a person’s appearances, it’s like a default in the human’s system.
We should always be careful about what we are wearing because even if no matter how much you wanted that or those kinds of clothes but if others saw that you’re overdressed or out of style or looks like a hooligan, they will really judge you. That’s why body measurement has a great impact on wearing or choosing our daily clothes.
I believe that clothing is the only trend that allows people to present to the world how they want to be seen, rather than how they really are. In this judgmental society, I still believe that what people wear can’t always be used to judge who they are, just like the old but gold saying ‘Don’t judge the book by its cover’.
We can’t judge big bones who likes wearing tights and skinny shirts or dresses, or the slim who loves wearing baggy shirts, because what if in that way they gained confidence? It just really matters on the person’s predicaments towards the world, to other people, or to themselves.
Body measurements help tailors to make clothes in any size possible. And wearing clothes with your exact measurements is not just about gaining confidence and all but also it the way you show, represent, and respect yourself also.
When we wear clothes, we sometimes overlook that these have been made following the elements of design and the principles of art. Some dress styles camouflage figure defects such as contrasting colors that are used in the blouse, skirts, and other dresses to emphasize the slim and tall figures. Though extra details on top such as lapels are also effective for flat-chested figures, the open or V-shaped neckline is also good for individuals with big and low chest yet it was also applicable for the flat-chested figure to emphasize their collar bone which is one of the most attracting parts of a woman.
For long-legged or for figures with a short upper body, dropped waisted dresses or longer jackets that fall below the hipline are used to create such a beautiful illusion of length on the upper body.
However, no matter what we wear, as long as we are happy and comfortable it really reflects our characteristics and personalities as well as what kind of individual we were. Wear anything that would make you happy and don’t mind everyone’s judgment since humans are naturally judgmental animals and they would judge you whatever you wear so it is better if we wouldn’t mind them and just wear anything that has our interest.
