Let me start out by saying that blogging is a new hobby I discovered a few years ago, when I was asked to write an article on my thoughts on a particular project. I got a positive reaction from my review and also realized at the same time I liked to write stuff.
Reading other people's articles and work online was always something I spared time out to do. I was always a fan of what I would call unpopular topics such as ancient history, lost technology and basically anything along those lines. Most of the information related to these topics were provided in written text and that is where most of my reading was focused for most of my life.
Saying all that, this article is about what I observed recently with this new trend of writers using artificial intelligence (A.I) to assist in their content. It became apparent the more articles I started to read, the more I notice the pattern of the A.I algorithm. We know that A.I uses all the content on the web to analyze, compile and extract information at the users request and doesn't necessarily create "new" content. It basically plagiarizes other people's work, chop and combine it to provide you with an answer.
Knowing these facts, I started to pickup patterns in lots of articles being posted online today. It felt as though I was reading something without a soul, that is the best way I can express it. It felt repetitive in many ways, the words seem to not have energy and the odd expressions here and there just make it feel off.
The entire article is written in one theme, whereas while reading work from real people, you can sense the emotion, emphasis or lack of and their uniqueness. Things like accents, use of common phrases from your hometown, religion, culture and more or just a few things we can mention to make each writer unique.
With dependency on A.I, we will be losing the x factor which makes writers stand out. Yes, A.I can be useful in many ways to write various important documents but thinking that it can replace writers in the future, I can't see it happening. Unless A.I is similar to human beings and goes through struggles in life, has parents and family, gets tired and stressed, their wife/husband leaves them or they lose a child, then I know it can relate. If everyday it's in the same mood and never sleeps, we don't have anything to worry about.
A.I has it's purpose but nothing can replace the human experience. We are in complete control of our reality and to place limits on what the human mind can do is underestimating the potential of what's within. A.I is a reflection of society and nothing more, if society decides to change then so does A.I. No need to fear technology, we can't destroy the world, even if we tried. We would go first and the earth would remain.
