My son watches too much YouTube.
But it can’t all be detrimental if he derives inspiration from some of the videos. He declared emphatically that he wants to be the owner of a zoo. (First, he asked me to explain “owner “, so it was cute seeing him decide on his ambition before even realising what it was.)
Like me, the son is action-oriented. During our library visit last weekend, he searched for books related to zoologists. So, we read part of it today.
It was an enlightening read to say the least. I knew that experts studying insects are called entomologists, but did you know that people specialising in amphibians and reptiles are known as Herpetologists. Interesting.
Anyway, I’m quite impressed with how the son did something to enhance his knowledge once he had locked in a dream. May his willingness to explore not be consumed alive by our educational system.
