Your thoughts on “gradually, then suddenly”

By cryotosensei | diaperfinancingfund | 5 Jan 2024

It was at Stacker News that I first encountered the phrase “gradually, then suddenly”. The first time I saw it, I was struck by its simplicity but profound imagery. It seemed more emotive than the “tipping point” phrase popularised by Malcolm Gladwell.   Then, I came across another Stacker using “gradually, then suddenly” in his comment. I knew that it had to come from some famous person. Finally, I saw it being attributed to Ernest Hemingway in a book called “Fierce Conversations: Achieving Success at Work and in Life One Conversation at a Time”. Coming across this phrase three times in a year. It’s safe to say that it has captured my imagination. Is there anything that you’re working on that you hope will exhibit this “gradually, then suddenly” phenomenon?   As for me, I have been neglecting my blog (diaperfinancingfund.blogspot.com) for the longest time. But somehow, I received five cents from Google Adsense for doing nothing this December. This ignited a fire within me - and I have been posting pretty diligently ever since. Now, it seems that I’m on the way to earning 8 cents this month. I really want to attain the minimum requirement of $150 so that I can withdraw it from Google Adsense and boast that I have “been there, done that”. The going is tough, but I’m all in!   What about you? aHR0cHM6Ly9tLnN0YWNrZXIubmV3cy85ODcx
