Withdrew my Publish0x earnings…

How often do you withdraw your Publish0x earnings? As for me, I withdraw my ETH and OP earnings whenever they hit the $5 withdrawal limit. So I was lucky enough to attain the $5 mark for both ETH and OP this December.

I’m sure some of you leave your earnings and accumulate to a higher figure before you are enticed to withdraw them. It’s not like I don’t trust Publish0x - that I’m afraid that it will go bankrupt. xP

I do so as a sort of perk-me-up. It’s like a break that you take after a Pomodoro session. Celebrating small wins!!! Seeing the tokens in my MetaMask wallet uplifts my spirits, even though I know that it doesn’t actually hold these tokens since they are already on the blockchain.

Nonetheless, it’s always good to receive a morale boost.

I have been writing on Publish0x since June 2021. To take my presence to the next level, I want to start a new practice from now on. I intend to post that I have withdrawn my earnings and share the insights I have gained from writing. I hope that my introspective sharing will ignite a spark in some of my readers out there; it will also serve as a reference point for me to do better moving forward.

So what have I learnt since the last time I withdrew $5 from Publish0x? I think the most important takeaway for me is to have actual writing goals. My goal in 2024 is to share all the ways in which I save/earn/invest money in order to become a money influencer.

Since I’m fuelled by this goal, I didn’t mind posting things that I held back on the post. There were certain things that I dismissed as being unworthy of sharing because they seemed to be so trivial. But because I wrote to achieve my ultimate goal, I shared those mundane things because hey, that’s who I am.

Something surprising happened.

My UX Experience post on Simple Bitcoin somehow went viral and netted me $3. This has never happened to me before!

At the core of it, Simple Bitcoin is a simple app that lets you read bite-sized BTC articles for petty sats. I expected it to earn maybe 20 cents. $3 far exceeded my expectations and surely marks one of my writing accomplishments on Publish0x.

if you formulate your own goal, you will be less preoccupied with whether your article would hit its mark with the readers. You just write because you need to share something authentic to meet your internal deliverable.

I have a lot of ways in which I earn petty sats, so watch this space next year.

Another lesson I learnt is to share yourself. We all know that crypto-themed articles earn the most bucks here, but it isn’t every day that we can devote time to researching and crystallising our thoughts on crypto. I also want to write about various topics to hone my writing craft, so sticking to crypto feels restrictive for my growth.

There were two articles that did unexpectedly well in December: Me the money influencer and How I set myself up for success. Both netted about a dollar, which is significant when I consider that some of my other articles don’t even earn 10 cents.

Honestly, I’m baffled as to why these articles did so well. Perhaps because it’s interesting to read how I adapted universal self-improvement strategies and personalised the application to suit my circumstances? Humans are wired to connect with stories, so maybe my readers found something they can relate to in my articles? I will keep posting such articles to see if they really strike a chord with you guys - or if they are a fluke. LOL.

On the last day of 2023, I will like to thank all of you for your continuous support this past year. I wish everyone good health and wealth as we march forward into 2024. Happy new year!
