[Top 10 Kid-Friendly McDonald’s Outlets: Canberra Plaza]
Previously, I wrote about how the McDonald’s outlet at Bukit Panjang Plaza allowed the boy and me to admire Light Rail Transit trains, SBS Transit buses and cars zooming past the windows. The McDonald’s outlet at Canberra Plaza offers a totally different experience.
It’s compact and takes up the size of one room in most people’s flats. But we happened to visit during lunch hour and observed about ten kids running amok with some doting parents taking photos of their offspring posing in front of the plastic windows. Somehow, the indoor playground never felt congested.
There’s a Chinese proverb that goes, “A sparrow may be small, but has all its organs intact.” This surely applies to the playground which boasts features like slides, tunnels, steering wheels and even abacus beads, the last of which is a nod to the academic-obsessed culture in my Asian society. With indoor playgrounds in shopping malls costing $12 per hour, it was a no-brainer for me to patronise this McDonald’s outlet. The boy had a good workout as well as meal and slept without fuss after that. Best testimony to this playground!
