It was 10.58pm. Ordinarily, I would not have brought my smartphone to my bedroom because I didn’t want to disrupt my son’s sleep. But tonight was a do-or-die night.
I was staring at Hodlnaut’s Telegram chat, my heart pounding like a sledgehammer. Two minutes later, the administrator would release a quiz, in which answering fast and accurately would be of the essence. My boy crawled to my side, clamouring for my attention. I couldn’t deal with this right now.
The administrator made some light chatter. He then launched the quiz.
My fingers were trembling ever so slightly as I awaited the first question, praying that the dodgy WiFi in my house won’t let me down. It appeared like a bolt out of the blue even though I was mentally prepared for it.
”Geez! Is it minor payment or major payment?” I paused briefly, cold sweat breaking on my back. Then I remembered an article I had written on crypto regulation in Singapore and went with my instinct. I chose “Major Payment Institution”.
Yay, I was correct!

But this was no time to celebrate. The 2nd question was snapping at my heels.
I read the second question and frowned. I had never done any token swap before. But I did know about Wrapped Bitcoin because I blogged about it on Publish0x. So I was familiar that Wrapped Bitcoin involves the wrapping of Bitcoin so that it can be utilised on the Ethereum blockchain. Again, I folllwed my gut and chose the option ‘1 WBTC = 1 BTC”.
I held my breath, willing my instinct to be proven right again.
Yay, I was correct again!

The last question was a giveaway one as it asked which country Hodlnaut is based in. Singapore, of course! I pressed the answer quickly.
The quiz was over. Man, was it an intense rollercoaster ride! I had never been charged with this much adrenaline for a long time.
The results were announced. I was placed second! (See thumbnail.) Only another contestant and I got all three questions right!
I hastily PM-ed the administrator, asking for the secret code in hopes that this would bump up my chances to attain a prize of $50 BTC in its iOS Mobile App Launch lucky draw contest.
