Started the day out right by getting the son to write some Chinese characters. Managed my expectations, so I didn’t get overly frustrated. Best of all, he finished writing the characters before the prata was ready. A pat on my shoulder for exemplary time management.

Daughter was feeling a little better, so I sat down with her to tackle her home project. Let time flow past me and spent 1.5 hours on it. Prompted her to show off her work to her mum so that I could derive an adrenaline rush from my stellar effort.

Son wanted to buy an origami book to build his zoo. Suffered through a video on making crocodiles. Not my cup of tea since dexterity is neither my forte nor my interest. Nevertheless, an epiphany hit me. I could use origami to help him hone his fine motor skills.
