So I have been happily saying "amayam" to the Malay students, thinking that I was Mr Gerek Personaified, only to realize yesterday that I have been butchering the pronunciation all this while. It should be "amaCIAM". These rascals! They have been goading me into saying "amayam" for their own amusement!

Sikit sake hati (I'm a bit heartbroken). Though I'm wondering if I should just keep on saying "amayam" because I don't want to take the fun away from them.
In other news, my dad revealed that he had studied Melayu during his youth for 5 years in order to obtain Singapore citizenship.
