I set specific financial goals at the start of every year. Like, I aim to top up $15,300 towards my Supplementary Retirement Scheme (SRS). I find that doing so shifts my focus from inflation to increasing my retirement funds.

This gives me a reason to wake up every day because I try to milk out a little bit of money and contribute to my financial goal.

Before I start working, I make a tour of various survey sites (Milieu, ApiaryBuzz, YouGov, Lifepoints SG). Sometimes, completing a survey will qualify me for a payout, which will help me start the day on a positive note.

I also accumulate satoshis (how units of a Bitcoin are called) through various faucet sites as well as the Lightning Network. It does take time but eventually I will accumulate about $5 worth of Bitcoin, upon which I will transfer to my Gemini account and cash it out.

As for government initiatives, I am on the National Health Steps Challenge. My lifestyle allows me to clock 10,000 steps easily. It takes me about 1-2 months to clock enough steps to redeem for a $10 supermarket voucher. As for the Community Development Council vouchers, each time I redeem them, I will top up the equivalent amount to my SRS account.

I love writing, so I blog on Publish0x (which rewards me in Ethereum). Also, I post quite regularly on r/cryptocurrency. The regulars there call it a shitposting exercise. The aim is to type inane funny comments. If people relate to my sense of humour, they will give me an upvote, which translates to moons at the end of each distribution round. This month, I received about 3000 moons. I could sell them for $510 if I wish. Yes, it’s that crazy.
