Five Things I Gain From Publish0x (Besides Tips)

Five Things I Gain From Publish0x (Besides Tips)

By cryotosensei | diaperfinancingfund | 7 Oct 2021

For my 3rd monthiversary on Publish0x, I will like to count my blessings and take a moment to appreciate the ten ways it has enriched my life.

1) Imagination

i believe the breakthrough came when I was reading a book on managing one’s boss based on personality types. A brainwave washed over me: What if I personify various cryptocurrencies and let them be the manifestations of the different personality types. This was the genesis for my article “4 Cryptocurrencies Go For A DISC Workshop”. I really enjoyed writing this article! Since then, I was used to marrying two disparate objects and creating fictional scenarios that sought to entertain and enlighten my readers about the defining characteristics of various cryptocurrencies. My latest article was titled “ETH Goes To Kyoto”. I thank you all for reading my stories! Publish0x has unleashed my imagination; I never expected myself to be a fiction writer.

2) Discipline

Once I set the goal of blogging once a day, it seemed like the Universe conspired to help make it a reality. It helps that I am passionate about writing and don't find it a chore. I found myself taking on the habits of good writers - jotting down writing ideas in a notebook, storing drafts on Publish0x, writing one paragraph at a time and even typing away at the ungodly hour of 5am. Honestly speaking, before stumbling upon Publish0x, I tried out other things like selling preloved items and my lesson plans on an e-commerce platform and Teacherspayteachers.com respectively. But nothing stuck, So the very fact that I'm blogging every day on Publish0x is a reward in itself; it makes me recognize the vitality in myself.

3) Thick Skin

Now I routinely eat 'Dislikes' for breakfast! (Just kidding.) Didn't mean to come across as so passive-aggressive. But I'm quite happy about the fact that 'Dislikes' don't rattle me off these days, as compared to how I would feel melancholic for a while during my first month here. I reckon that's because I no longer see 'Dislikes' as a form of rejection. Which is a good thing because I manage to maintain detached from my essays even though I put in my heart and soul into writing them. The involved-nonchalant relationship I have with my writing can only bode well for me in the future when I attempt to submit some of my writing to publishing houses.

4) New Experiences

Let me make a confession here. These days, I am more willing to try new things because if nothing good comes out of them, I can at least blog about them on Publish0x. Case in point: Signing up for Cointiply. I was skeptical about whether this faucet was legitimate and whether it would take me forever to cash out my points. But I didn't let this array of doubts assail me into paralysis. I then spent some time on Cointiply and realized that all my worries were unfounded. Since I now have a platform that helps me monetize my experiences (to a certain extent), I feel motivated to acquire more "readable" experiences. Next up, DeFi!

5) Multidimensionality

I came across the word "multipotentialite" the other day and was fascinated by it. Where was this word all my life? Anyway, I resonate with the idea that some of us have multiple passions in life, so we feel pigeonholed if we need to confine ourselves to just one pursuit. Sounds like me! Translating this to writing, I found myself experimenting not just with the topics, but also with my writing style. Sometimes I get all serious and academic while other times I try to show off my wacky and goofy sense of humor. Hopefully, I can develop all these different styles well. Moving forward, I'm grateful that Publish0x is visited by people from all over the world. Since I am an aspiring polyglot, I really want to try sprinkling foreign phrases like joie de vivre and piece de resistance. Watch out for this space!

I attained 240 followers recently. Thank you for your morale boost! I will work harder to pen more memorable articles.
