Dinosaur playground

This dinosaur playground at Toa Payoh cuts an impressive figure. We could already see the huge head of the T rex while at the overhead bridge. Squealing with excitement, we took the escalator down and hurried our way toward it.

It was a magnificent sight to behold. Other than the humongous T rex, there was another smaller T rex facing five dinosaur eggs. I assumed that we were meant to admire the antics of a dinosaur family. Just seeing these eggs provided me with the impetus to goggle just how much larger a T rex egg was than an ostrich egg. (About 3 times.) The son, having regaled me with how the T rex could bite bones, asked me to google its bite force. (about ten times the bite force of a modern alligator, it seems).

Just then, a couple arrived with their two boys and a helper, guided by the desire to soak up the magnificent sight of the T rex dinosaurs. All these weeks of ambling along Singapore’s neighbourhoods have apparently turned me into a dinosaur connoisseur. I heartily recommended them to check out Fu Shan Gardens — still the best dinosaur playground we have encountered. My children didn’t mix much with the two boys. But I guess just running amok and getting nourished by the sun was a memorable experience for them
