written from my son’s perspective

It was a scorching afternoon. The sun beat its rays mercilessly / cruelly upon us.
However, I was unaffected by the relentless / unceasing heat. I was thrilled / delighted, in fact.
My father wanted to take my sister and me to a void deck playground in Tengah because it had been receiving a lot of media hype / buzz. Excitement enveloped / surrounded us, putting broad grins on our faces.
To our delight, the playground turned out to be incredible / remarkable. We marvelled at the nets comprised of knotted ropes and eagerly scrambled to the top.
