I never thought I'd ever be able to run this distance when first I started my running journey back in December.

Today, I completed 11.5 miles (18.5km)
Which has given me such a huge sense of achievement.
We live in the Derbyshire countryside and have some beautiful scenery and fresh air! I doubt I'd of started this if we lived in a bustling city, not that I'd want to live in such a busy place, but each to their own and all that.

As you can see from the stats, it's rather hilly here, with lots of undulations on any chosen route.

So, all in all, I have to say that I've enjoyed my first run over 10 miles. It wasn't easy, but it felt comfortable in a strange kind of way.

Running is an amazing medicine if you suffer with any kind of mental health issue like myself.
And coupled with a good diet and prescribed meds (if needed) there really is light at the end of a dark tunnel.
