Woke Up Charged. No Idea Why.

By DarkMirax | DarkMirax | 6 Jun 2026

There are mornings when the alarm goes off and you already hate the day before it starts. You negotiate with yourself under the blanket. Five more minutes. Ten. You bargain like it costs something.

And then there are mornings like this one.

No reason. No big plan waiting. No coffee yet, no news, no notification that changed anything. Just — awake. Engine already running. Some quiet current moving through you before you even decide to get up.

I've tried to trace it back. Was it the dream? Something I ate? The angle of light coming through the curtain? Nothing holds up. The feeling doesn't come with an explanation attached. It just shows up, uninvited and welcome, like an old friend who doesn't knock.

The strange thing is, I used to distrust it. If I couldn't explain it, maybe it wasn't real. Maybe it would collapse by noon. Maybe I was just fooling myself before the day had a chance to disappoint me.

But I've stopped asking why.

Because here's what I've learned about that unnamed electricity: it doesn't need a reason to be real. It doesn't owe you a justification. Some mornings you wake up and the engine is cold and you push anyway. That's one kind of courage.

And some mornings you wake up already moving — and you don't stop to figure out why.

You just go.

That's enough.
