The Price of Silence

By DarkMirax | DarkMirax | 2 Jun 2026

Most people think silence means peace.

It doesn't.

Sometimes silence is fear.

Sometimes it's disappointment.

Sometimes it's all the words you wanted to say but never did.

The strange thing about silence is that it grows.

At first, it feels harmless.

You tell yourself it's easier not to argue.

Easier not to explain.

Easier not to say what you really think.

But every silence leaves something behind.

A missed chance.

An unanswered question.

A piece of yourself.

One day you realize you're no longer protecting yourself.

You're building walls.

And walls don't just keep pain out.

They keep life out too.

Maybe that's why the hardest conversations are often the most important ones.

Not because they change other people.

Because they change us.
