Could there be a terrifying death trap hidden behind the excessive attention, affection, and gifts from someone you just met for the first time? In the world of criminalistics and psychology, there is such a cunning method where maniacs flood their victims in an ocean of emotions before pulling out a knife. This dangerous tactic is called Love Bombing.
One of the most famous and bloodthirsty killers in history, Ted Bundy, was a master of this exact style. To attract his victims, he assumed the persona of an ideal, highly cultured, intelligent, and attractive person. He would unexpectedly shower the targeted women with endless attention, make them feel like the most unique person in the world, and bury them under a rain of compliments.
Human nature is such that when a person encounters such immense and "sincere" affection directed at them, their defense mechanisms completely shut down, and vigilance disappears. The victim begins to feel safe next to this ideal person and unknowingly, of their own free will, walks right into the killer's trap.

However, this "emotional bomb" serves to completely bind the victim to the manipulator and cut them off from the surrounding world. Once the trap closes and the woman falls under the maniac's complete control, that "ideal person" turns into a ruthless executioner in a single second. But by then it is already too late, because the victim has already been reduced to a psychological and physical captive.
Cyber-detective work and modern criminalistics show that even today, many fraudsters, maniacs, and manipulators use this exact same tactic through social networks to worm their way into people's trust. They don't play out the "romance script" because they love you, but rather to make you their slave.
Question: Should we be suspicious of someone who looks overly perfect at first meeting and buries you with compliments and attention? Or is this simply a sign of true love?
