Grayscale interest in Crypto is Growing 📈
On september 19, Grayscale filed the ETF with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) under the Securities Act of 1933. Like bitcoin, Greyscale is supposed to Hold the commodities in the form of digital assets particularly ETH futures.
However the problem arises with the fact that Most ETFs are filed under the Investment Company Act of 1940 whcih allows funds to only invest in securities.
We've already seen the aggresiveness from SEC in the case of BTC ETF. But it must be noted that Grayscale won the case against SEC and was able to start a BTC STF. This resulted in the bullish trend of bitcoin in the bearish month of september.

Ledger to start Recovery service 🔓
Earlier this year, ledger claimed that they will soon start a private key recovery service. This resulted in huge dismissal of ledger. Many didn't like this idea. Yet ledger didn't considered the public view and continued with the developments.
Accordingly, The private keys/phrase would be shared between Ledger and two other security companies, CoinCover and EscrowTech.
What troubled the crypto users was the government who could seek for data any time they wanted.
Ledger calmed the public by stating that this feature will be optional for its users and the roadmap will be made publicly and protocol will be open source.

Coinbase claims that 55% of voters in USA are likely to shun candidates opposing crypto 😤
Survey results showed that 63% of crypto owners agree that the system unfairly favors powerful interests. More than 40% of those who own digital assets do so to remit money across borders to help family members pay for food, housing and health care for far less than what banks and wire services typically charge.
This research could also become a part of the exchange’s recent campaign to advance U.S. legislation designed to address regulatory oversight of the crypto market.

Balancer Protocol hacked ⚠️
On September 19, Balancer notified its users to not to interact with anything on its front end mentioning in their tweet. Balancer has now secured their website as mentioned in this tweet.
The users were prompted to sign a malicious contract which enabled the hacked move the funds.
Fortunately, no vaults were affected. But this warns us of possible threats‼️

Optimism announced their 3rd airdrop 🪂
After the two biggest airdrops, Optimisim announced another big airdrop for its community on 18th September. The criteria was Governance Delegation and Voting Delegation (which was a bonus).
The tokens were directly sent to wallet by optimism.
Optimism concluded that Optimism is about scaling new coordination mechanisms so healthy governance is crucial to the success of the Optimistic Vision.
BUT WAIT, 19% of supply was assigned for airdrop. Still there is a lot remaining!!!

FTX resumed operations on its website to accept compensation claims ✅
Previously, FTX was taken down because of a major cyberattack. But it has now restored its customer claims portal. Claimants can now continue to submit claims for assets they held on the exchange prior to it becoming insolvent.
In a tweet, FTX mentioned that none of its systems were affected following the cyber breach.
On August 27, FTX temporarily suspended the accounts of users who used the claims portal after Kroll was hacked.

Tether Continues to loan the stablecoin 🪙
Back in December 22, Tether announced that it will cut such loans down to zero in December 2022 because of many cotroversies leading to massive FUD. But it still continued and secure loans saw a huge uptrend.
Tether claimed that the new loans were made at the request of some of its partners, and now it plans to finish it by 2024.
