WHAT'S ZOIDS ARENA? ANOTHER TCG GAME?!

Introducing another thrilling TCG game that demands your attention: Zoids Wild Arena. Wait! Don't you dare leaving, make sure you delve into the unique offerings of this project. Seasoned players in the blockchain games sphere are no strangers to the abundance of TCG games. This trend primarily stems from the convenience of minimizing 3D asset creation, distinguishing them from action-packed or immersive MMORPG games. Hold on, because this time, it's a departure from the norm. Within this article, uncover the distinct attributes that set Zoids Wild Arena apart from other TCG blockchain games.
Zoids Wild Arena is a captivating Free-to-Play TCG game that operates on the Polygon Blockchain. This choice results in reduced gas fees and simplified transactions for digital asset acquisition, especially for those well-versed in the crypto space. In the game, players have the chance to acquire cards with varying rarities, which can be sold in secondary marketplaces or the official Zoids Marketplace.
While the game is currently accessible on PC, the recent launch of the Android version is just the beginning, with an iOS version currently in the works.
That's not all; for those eager to strengthen their Zoids deck promptly, an in-game shop offers the convenience of purchasing booster packs and booster boxes. This mirrors the familiar experience of traditional TCG games such as Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, and the latest One Piece TCG card game.

WHO'S BEHIND THE PROJECT?

Guess what? The Zoids Wild Arena game is actually from TOMY, the cool Japanese toy company that makes Zoids toys. They teamed up with a Korean company called ACT Games Co. to make this game.

ACT Games Co. is a Korean company, which HeadQuarters are located in Seoul Korea. I've found that they've developed many other videogames like:
BUB's Puzzle Blast, Peko Pop, MOG MOG Planet and Aggretsuko! (I love this cartoon, and never thought there was a videogame of this hehe).

While these other games might not be super well-known, the people working on Zoids Wild Arena are paying attention to all the little things. It's clear they really care about making the game awesome for all of us to enjoy.
WHAT ABOUT THE PARTNERS?
I did some digging, and it seems like there isn't a groundbreaking partnership that stands out. Most of the partnerships appear to be with other blockchain projects, which is actually a smart move. It could lead to in-game collaborations between the projects, which means free marketing within the game. Here's the list of collaborations I found:
- SWAGGA
- PlanckX
- SpinTOP
- Metahorse Unity
- MIMYO
- Arena of Faith
- Derby Stars
- INDIGG
WHAT'S THE NFT's UTILITY ?
Let's talk about the NFTs! In the game, you can earn cards as you climb up the ranks. These cards can then be turned into NFTs. But here's the catch: once you've minted a card, you can't upgrade it. That means if you mint a Grade 2 card, it stays that way as an NFT with a Grade 2 rarity.
Oh, and one more thing: there's a small fee for minting, which is 0.0917 MATIC (that's about $0.18).

NOTE: Not a finantial advise, but before minting the cards, I would recommend to level up the cards before minting them and convert them into NFTs. Don't worry if you already screwed it up hehe you have a Deminting feature.
RARITIES AND TYPES
In the game, there are two types of cards: Tactical cards and Unit cards. The Tactical cards work like your typical "Spells" in other TCG Games. You can use spells for various purposes, such as recovering health, increasing attack, destroying certain Units, or causing massive damage across the field. On the other hand, the Unit cards represent the Zoids, and these are the ones that will battle for you.
Let's talk about the card rarities now. All cards come with a grade level, ranging from 1 Star to 6 Stars. The grade is displayed at the top of the card, just like this one:

HOW TO UPGRADE THE CARDS?
To upgrade a card in the game, head over to the UPGRADE Menu, select the card you want to upgrade, and then sacrifice three cards of the same grade. But that's not all; you'll also need something called METALS, which brings us to our next must-know topic!

WHAT ARE THE METALS?
There are two types of Metals in the game:
1. Purchased In-game Metals:
You can purchase them through Xsolla.
(They mentioned that they'll allow Metal purchases from the Google Play and App Store soon.)
2. Exchangeable Metals:
You can purchase them through Web3 payments, or you can earn them from the Pot Rewards.
RANKINGS
But wait, there's more! Remember the Pot Rewards we mentioned earlier? Well, depending on your level, you'll receive varying amounts of metals and rewards.
IS THE PC GAME REALLY THAT GREAT ?

Good Points
-
The game features amazing music that perfectly captures the excitement of battling with your zoids.
-
The NFT's utility is just like in other blockchain TCG games. Once you mint the cards, they're yours, and the best part is you can mint them anytime you want!
-
It's free to play! Just like in any other TCG game, some players might have more advantages, but that's part of the challenge, just like in Magic: The Gathering and other traditional TCG games.
-
It's easy to get started with a complete tutorial for new players.
-
The shop is simple to navigate, and even if you're not familiar with buying cryptocurrencies or using a blockchain wallet, there's no problem as there are other payment options available, like credit cards.
-
The prices for booster boxes and packs are quite reasonable, especially considering that you now truly OWN your digital cards!
-
It's not a mere copy of other TCG games. The developers have created a unique game that stands out from the crowd, and it's unlike any other TCG game I've seen.
Negative Points
-
The number of players might be a bit low, so sometimes it could take a while to find a match.
-
The game is still in development, and the METALs tokens haven't been implemented yet.
-
The marketing campaigns seem to be lacking. Despite being a high-quality game, it appears that the developers didn't make enough effort to promote it across various social networks.
GAME RATING
Rating a TCG game can be challenging, but in the case of Zoids Arena, it stands out as a truly unique game. With its exceptional music, impressive graphics, and a robust economy driven by player card pricing, it promises a captivating gaming experience.
I give it a 4.5/5!

Conclusion
I tried to cover as much as I could, and make it easy to read and don't make it too boring.
