Lithuania, which has been researching digital coins for a while, decided to issue its own digital money. According to sources such as Finance Magnates, the Lithuanian Government has taken action to issue a new national digital currency. 24 thousand of these digital tokens, which the government calls LBCOIN, are expected to go on sale next week. Marius Jurgilas, Vice President of the Central Bank of Lithuania, says the following:
As a central bank, we never took the idea of digital money seriously for a long time. Until we realize that someone else can take our place… We have to meet people's demands.

It is believed that the Lithuanian Central Bank may particularly refer to projects such as Libra. Facebook, one of the largest companies in the world, has been trying to develop its own digital money for a while. While this project has received great support from some names, it gets heavy reactions from some names.
Preparing for Sale
These digital coins, developed by the Central Bank of Lithuania, will be sold in six packs. The price of each package will be 99 euro, and users will be able to buy and sell them directly with the help of the Central Bank or private blockchain networks.

It is not yet known exactly how these digital currency efforts in Lithuania will take shape in the coming period. Countries like China want the digital money they developed to be used in many areas of social life. Digital money in Lithuania may also be used in different areas over time.
