I have been using freebitco.in for more than a year but haven’t met the minimum withdrawal limit yet. And no doubt. Each click of the faucet just yields me 1-4 sats, depending on the cash flow of the freebitcoin developers, so it will take me forever to hit my first payout. But I just stack these sats faithfully because I click on the faucet before/after I click on Cointiply’s faucet. It has become a habit that is ingrained within me.
This Boxing Day, I woke up to an email that informed me that I won the sixth prize in its weekly lottery. Honestly, I rubbed my eyes because I was in shock. I thought I was the victim of a scam email. Here’s the email that I received:

I went to freebitcoin to verify the news. What a wonderful sight met my eyes! It was a legitimate email after all! I hastily went to withdraw all my BTC. It amounted to 0.00368309 BTC in total. Because I have been clicking on the faucet for more than a year, remember? So it’s a bit more than the prize money of ~0.00349 BTC.
Yea, the winnings/earnings arrived safe and sound in my Gemini account within the same day!
That’s the end of my article, really. Because it is lottery money, I converted it to fiat and paid down my mortgage. (Please don’t throw stones at me for not HODLing). I guess I learnt an important lesson yesterday. Even if an endeavour looks pathetic and insignificant on the surface, I should just continue with it because who knows where it might lead me to, right?
My referral link for freebitcoin is at the top if you ever feel tempted to put yourself through the mundane mediocrity of stacking sats. Haha.
