Back this February, one of my mates told me about Rabbithole and how it offers people new to crypto a chance to earn some crypto while learning about various web3 applications. 

I never acted on it because I was not so well versed in the ways of MetaMask, but today, I would give it another go because hey, I have since learnt how to list NFTs on OpenSea and even navigate between Ethereum Main and Ethereum Arbitrum Nova. I am not the noob I once was. 

So yup, connecting my MetaMask wallet with Rabbithole turned out to be as easy as pie.

It seemed like I got to pay my dues first. Earning opportunities don't unlock unless I accumulate enough credentials. But what sort of credentials do I need to gain? 

Only way to find out? Just choose a random course and start working my way up. But first, I needed to switch to the correct network.

Switched to the Optimism network and was excited to get started on the 3 lessons on Optimism.

My enthusiasm died down considerably when I realised that I had to spend my own ETH to complete the tasks before I earned any credentials. I was thoroughly spoilt by the Learn and Earn lessons from Coinbase and Revolut which required no initial investment on my part!

I do hear good things about Optimism, notably about how it yields airdrops, so I guess the onus is on me to accumulate lots of ETH and apportion part of it to explore the Optimism network. See you another time, Rabbithole!
