French government websites, the target of cyberattack
We all are aware of the arrest of Telegram founder: Pavel Durov. But did you know that now, multiple French government websites have gone offline in a denial of service (DDoS) attacks? They are believed to be related to a Russian hacker group.
Entropia Intel, on the social media X, reported that the attacks are believed to be a response to the arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov in France on August 24.
In response to the attacks, Emmanuel Macron, the French President, published that Durov’s arrest wasn’t political. He guaranteed France’s commitment to freedom of speech and expression while also stressing that the outcome of Durov’s case would be determined by France’s independent judiciary system, not the country’s political apparatus.
