The pullback is coming, but no one knows when. The chart for BTC over the past month has been a complete hockey stick, but it can still go much higher. The amount of money that has been put into the protocol publicly should certainly be enough to drive a bit of price action. I can't even pretend to know why it takes so long for a price pump after institutions get in, but now we are starting to see the effects, I think.

So does bitcoin have another push before 2021? We just hit another all time high, and we have passed $29k. Actually, that is another push, but I think we have $30k in us. Pushes seem to occur around traditional market hours, meaning that this pump from Asia will likely last until North America wakes up. If America sees that the price has pumped enough, there will be plenty of FOMO. 

We also just got news of stimulus checks on the way in the US in 2021. This should free up many people's pockets, and we may get to see some real movement back in defi again. The August pump coincided with stimulus payments (and the proliferation of the Yearn protocol), and history may rhyme one more time.

2021 will certainly have some new challenges for us, so don't expect the hockey stick to continue. We now have the US government trying to assert itself over crypto. (Good luck.) Chainlink may be a target, and Tether has a case being built against it as we speak. What those morons don't realize is these shocks to the system are just providing more opportunities for me to get in at good prices.

Let's not forget the pandemic as well. The new strain will likely put strains on society, especially if governments continue to screw up the response to it. Nonetheless, I believe bitcoin and crypto will prevail. The old world won't go out without a fight, but it must go out. There's no other way, because we have to invent warp drive and meet the Vulcans in my lifetime.
