Those of you might wonder how to claim Ethereum POW tokens. As of shooting this video, I have 7.2 ETH sitting in my Ethereum Main chain on my Metamask wallet. I am eligible for 7.2 ETHW tokens. I will show you how to claim your Ethereum POW or ticker symbol ETHW.
According to Official Ethereum POW twitter with twitter handle EthereumPOW, you can claim your ETHW tokens right now. All you need is Go to Metamask wallet, assuming you have your mainchain Ethereum on same Metamask wallet, Go to Networks. Click Add Networks. Because Ethereum POW is totally different chain from Ethereum 2.0 or the POS chain, you need to add ETH POW chain as a new chain in Metamask. I entered following parameters on my Metamask wallet.
Network Name: ETHW-mainnet.
New RPC URL is https://mainnet.ethereumpow.org.
Chain ID is 10001.
Currency Symbol is ETHW.
Block Explorer URL is https://www.oklink.com/en/ethw.
Click Save. I will list all this Metamask parameter in the video description site as well as official twitter link from EthereumPow. Now you will have exact equivalent ETHW tokens. In my case, I have 7.2 ETHW tokens.
Centralized Exchanges listing ETHW tokens and Blockchain Explorer, and Mining Pools
Next, I will explain which Centralized exchanges lists ETHW tokens and blockchain explorer, and mining pools.
Exchanges that support ETH POW tokens are Binance.com, FTX will list at a later date, Coinbase not sure. In conclusion, I would not hold ETHW for too long. If you remember what happened to Bitcoin Cash (BCH) after the hard fork it crash in price. Same thing will happen to ETHPOW unless lots of Defi Protocols are launched in this new chain. I doubt any bit Venture Capitalist or Miners will pony up cash to attract Defi Protocols to make this token worth more in terms of utility. I would transfer tokens or deposit into OKX exchange or others I mentions earlier and sell them in to USDC.
This ETHW claiming process is same for other Web 2.0 wallets besides Metamask such as Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, MyEtherWallet, ZenGo, StakedWallet.io, Exodus, Ambire Wallet, and Hyperledger as long as you use private key to import your wallet from other wallet into Metamask.
