Good day everyone,
I hope you are all having a good day, welcome to CryptoGod-1's blog on all things crypto. In this post I will be looking at the upcoming HBO documentary called 'Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery.'
Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery
A new documentary by HBO, known as 'Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery' will be released on Tuesday the 8th of October, 2024. The documentary will offer a thrilling, globe-spanning investigation into the mystery surrounding Bitcoin and its anonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Filmmaker Cullen Hoback will dive into the origins of Bitcoin and immerse himself with key players to uncover never-before-seen clues regarding the identity of its creator.
The documentary will focus on finding out the real name of Satoshi. Finding out his worth, finding out who he really is. Hoback is known for his 2021 film Q: Into the Storm, where he looked into the QAnon conspiracy phenomenon. Back in 2017 he did What Lies Upstream, “an investigation into a chemical spill which led to an indictment of the entire system meant to protect drinking water. He revealed cover ups at the highest levels of government. Back in 2013 his Terms and Conditions May Apply “exposes what corporations and governments learn about people through Internet and cell phone usage, and what can be done about it.”
The documentary will be produced and directed by Cullen Hoback; produced by Alina Solodnikova, Jessie Deeter, and Scott Holroyd; executive produced by Adam McKay, Todd Schulman, Cullen Hoback, and Taylor Jones. For HBO: executive producers Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller, and Tina Nguyen.

In terms of who Satoshi Nakamoto actually is, crypto betting platform Polymarket, did a recent poll on a number of candidates. Currently 51% of voters believe the true identity will turn out to be Len Sassaman, an American technologist who died in 2011. Sassman a prominent figure in the cypherpunk community and a member of the Internet Engineering Task Force. He published a number of cryptography works which fuelled theories regarding his connection to the creation of Bitcoin.
Among the other candidates are Californian software developer Hal Finney, who was among the earliest Bitcoin users before passing away in 2014 due to ALS complications. A minority of better have also backed computer scientist Nick Szabo, Blockstream CEO Adam Back, systems engineer Dorian Nakamoto, and programmer and cartel boss Paul Le Roux.
Another 35% of voters believe Bitcoin may have been created by someone else entirely or even a small group of people.

The excitement regarding the documentary is being driven by the potential reveal of the founder of Bitcoin. While the crypto community anticipates the documentary, there is no guarantee the identity will be revealed. The filmmakers may have identified Satoshi but this has not been confirmed.
If Satoshi is identified, then Australian computer scientist and businessman Craig Wright, who has long claimed to be the legendary crypto inventor, will have to endure further ridicule. He once again reierated his claim to being Satoshi, but has never given any definitive proof. Earlier in 2024 a British High Court judge ruled that Wright was not Satoshi Nakamoto. He is currently facing perjury charges from England’s Crown Prosecution Service stemming from his assertion that he is the unknown Bitcoin creator. A court-ordered disclaimer on Wright’s website reads:
“The Court found that Dr. Wright lied to the Court extensively and repeatedly in his evidence and that he attempted to create a false narrative by forging documents on a grand scale. All his lies and forged documents were in support of his biggest lie: his claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto.”

Have a great day.
Peace. CryptoGod-1.
