Merry Crypto Christmas
Its Christmas 2024 and this year I want to wish everyone the best of wishes. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and gets to celebrate the festivities however they wish. Below I have thrown together a poem for the occasion (based on a well known poem called "A Visit from St Nicholas" by Clement Clarke Moore) which I just wanted to share and spread the joy. Have a wonder day everybody!
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the chain,
Not a SEC lawsuit was stirring; no more Gensler, what a shame.
The wallets were hung in the cloud with great care,
All hopes that a Bitcoin bull run soon will be here.
The miners were nestled all snug by their rigs,
While visions of block rewards danced merry jigs.
As I played with my cold wallet, my keys buried away,
I prayed for my very first crypto-filled day.
When out on the blockchain there rose such a clatter,
I logged into Binance to see what was the matter.
Straight to my futures and margin in a flash,
To check on my balance and beware of a crash!
The moon shining yellow with a cryptographic glow
Where to that resigning fellow, could CZ possibly know?
With delight in my wondering eyes it should appear,
A majestic green candle - my profits so near!
This little old trader, so often out of luck,
Now in this moment had Satoshi’s lightning struck?
Faster the candles rose than FTX could collapse,
Twas finally the moment, concentration could not lapse.
"Now AAVE! Now Solana! Now Pepe and Tether!
On Doge! On Polkadot! On XRP and Ether!
To the top of the charts, past the ascending triangle!
Now cash out right away, the moneybags will jangle!"
The markets have soared once Trump's been re-elected,
Through levels of resistance, which coins were selected?
So up to new ATHs the tokens they flew,
Those wallets of treasures - how I bet Satoshi knew.
And then, in a twinkling, I checked on the web
The chatter of traders and all that was said.
Old haunting spots so familiar, X and Reddit I see,
Mountains of memes and hodlers, all as happy as could be.
Satoshi, our hero, a visionary of digital flair,
With code so pristine and a vision so rare.
Rejoice for his tokens so far they have spanned,
Distributing inclusion and freedom across every land.
How his eyes twinkled, his wisdom, how merry!
His mission was complete, this man now legendary.
With a cryptographic smile and a message of cheer:
"Decentralised hope and a prosperous new year!"
Not a word to be spoken, at hand was the task,
Confirming transactions, no questions to ask.
Finally laying his finger aside of the mouse,
Safely signing every transaction, building blocks of Bitcoin's house.
He sprang from his computer, in triumph he retort,
No more to be heard from, a legend cut short.
With the faintest of noise as he vanished from sight,
“Merry Crypto to all, and to all a good night!”
