Good day everyone,
I hope you are all having a good day, welcome to CryptoGod-1's blog on all things crypto. In this post I will be looking at a recent breach on the official 'X' account for Giggle Academy.
Giggle Academy 'X' Breach
A recent attack took place on the 'X' account for the educational initiative founded by former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ). The attack involved hackers posting fabricated claims regarding a “new CEO” for Giggle Academy. As part of the breach a number of phishing links and false information was spread which in turn raised alarms regarding the rising number of phishing attacks in the cryptocurrency space.
The attack was confirmed by CZ when he tweeted that the new project’s X account has been hacked on November 16 and he is currently doing his best to get it restored.

The posts included malicious links urging users to verify the false announcement of a “new CEO” for Giggle Academy. These links attempted to trick users into compromising their accounts and CZ warned the public to void engaging with the compromised account.
The new venture by CZ is known for offering free online courses covering grades 1 to 12. It is focused on core subjects as well as emotional intelligence, finance, and blockchain. The project aims to provide accessible education to underserved communities and the breach to its 'X' account is considered a major blow in its mission of fostering empowerment through learning.
Last Friday CZ had revisited a tweet that he published a year and 16 days ago on November 1. Within that tweet he had spoken about “a better form of money that helps billions” and “Imagine being on the wrong side of history.” In a post on Friday he addressed his millions of X followers, urging them to “be on the right side of history.”
Unfortunately this is just the latest in a long list of incidents in the rising wave of phishing attacks plaguing the blockchain industry. Often notable accounts such as those associated with celebrities are hacked via sophisticated hacking techniques which then target the wide audience following the account. These include wallet-draining schemes and address poisoning, which exploit users’ trust and lack of technical vigilance.
CZ revealed no particular details of what had happened but he did a message with a security warning for all internet users to note: “Always use common sense when reading content from anywhere.”
Have a great day.
Peace. CryptoGod-1.
