Good day everyone,
I hope you are all having a good day, welcome to CryptoGod-1's blog on all things crypto. In this post I will be looking at the latest claims made by Craig Wright as he filed a lawsuit against the Bitcoin Core Developers.
Craig Wright Lawsuit
The infamous controversial figure in the crypto world and Australian Scientist, Craig Wright, has once again throw himself into the limelight by filing a lawsuit against the Bitcoin Core Developers. This happened on Friday the 18th of October when Wright claimed that Bitcoin SV (BSV) is the true BTC. Wright claims that Bitcoin SV is the real and true Bitcoin and has sparked a discussion in the wider crypto market. This legal move by Craig Wright comes after a previous United Kingdom High Court ruling that discredited his claims to be BTC creator.
Craig Wright has continued to assert that BSV is the true Bitcoin and his lawsuit, which was filed in the High Court of Chancery Division in London, is aimed at the Bitcoin Core developers. Within Wright claims that they have misrepresented BTC as the original Bitcoin through modifications like SegWit and Taproot, which he argues stray from Satoshi Nakamoto’s vision.
Wright has demanded £911 billion in damages and says that the difference in the market value between BTC and BSV has impacted Bitcoin SV’s reputation and market position. The lawsuit follows a decision ruling earlier this year in the COPA V. Wright case, where UK Justice Mellor ruled that Wright was not the author of the Bitcoin White Paper. It has has refuted any claims by Wright of being Satoshi Nakamoto.
This is not the first lawsuit Wright has brought against the Bitcoin Core developers, as on the 10th of October filed regarding a partnership deal involving Bitcoin Core and Square Up Europe Ltd. While it remains unclear exactly what the details are, BitMEX Research has noted that Wright is unable to reassert his claim to being Satoshi Nakamoto due to an earlier injunction.
The price of BSV saw an increase in its price, soaring to over $52 following the news, but has since fallen back towards its original price. BSV Futures Open Interest rose nearly 5% to $22.21 million following the announcement.

Craig Wright's legal actions have often been met with criticism and this latest move is no different. Hodlonaut, a prominent figure in the crypto community, expressed disbelief over the new lawsuit and it is important to note that Hodlonaut has previously won a defamation case against Wright. A statement released by Hodlonaut made a mocking suggestion that the Australian scientist might be using ChatGPT to craft his legal claims. They also further accused him of pursuing “delusional legal antics.” This is in line with the broader crypto community, with many considering the claims of Wright to be baseless and nonsense.
Have a great day.
Peace. CryptoGod-1.
