Borussia Dortmund and BlockDAG
German Bundesliga soccer club Borussia Dortmund have announced a partnership with BlockDAG, one of the worlds advanced blockchains. The sponsorship will be worth $10 million over three years and will see them sign a global partnership. BlockDAG will become the Premium Network Sponsor and will therefore gain visibility through virtual LED advertising at Borussia Dortmund’s iconic Signal Iduna Park, where its branding will feature prominently during home games. There will also be fan engagement initiatives which will take place both online and offline and this will help to connect with Dortmund's global fanbase.
BlockDAG will also receive VIP hospitality experiences on matchdays and they plan to launch fan-focused activities, including competitions, giveaways, and exclusive VIP matchday experiences. Selected fans along with $BDAG coin holders will enjoy unique benefits, such as behind-the-scenes stadium tours and meet-and-greet opportunities with BVB players. Antony Turner, CEO of BlockDAG noted:

BlockDAG operates as a blockchain which is different from conventional blockchains, meaning transactions are grouped into blocks that form a linear chain. This is done through the use of a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) structure. Making use of this approach allows multiple blocks to be processed in parallel, significantly increasing the network’s transaction throughput and reducing confirmation times. The Marketing Director for Borussia Dortmund, Carsten Cramer, noted:

With over $34 million already raised during its presale phase, BlockDAG has positioned itself as a leading technology in the next generation of decentralized systems.
