Good day everyone,
I hope you are all well and having a great day, welcome to CryptoGod-1's blog on all things crypto. As a lot of us are likely well aware of by now, Artificial Intelligence is on the rise and becoming the buzz word of 2023. Today I am going to begin a mini series looking at different websites known for their use of AI and how anybody can make use of them to create text, meaning a user can use it to improve their writing skills. Today I will be looking at ChatGPT by OpenAI.
What is ChatGPT
ChatGPT is an AI model which interacts with humans in a conversational way. The dialogue is created from the AI being trained using Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF), and the model was originally trained using supervised fine-tuning. This means that human AI trainers provided conversations in which they played both the user and an AI assistant, allowing the AI to learn and develop off what format the dialogue should be like. Due to this, ChatGPT is capable of answering follow-up questions, admitting its mistakes, challenging incorrect premise, and rejecting inappropriate requests.

While ChatGPT is a new and somewhat universal way of making use of AI in everyday life, there are limitations associated with it, including:
- Sometime the answers are plausible-sounding but incorrect or nonsensical.
- The way the question is phrased can determine the answer given by ChatGPT, for example, given one phrasing of a question, the model can claim to not know the answer, but given a slight rephrase, the model can answer correctly.
- The model often answer with more words than are necessary, due to trainers preferring longer answers that looked more comprehensive.
- Currently ChatGPT guesses what the user meant when it is unsure, instead of asking a clarifying question.

How to use ChatGPT
The first thing to do once you go to the ChatGPT website is to sign up for an OpenAI account, which can be done with your email address. It is free, but they require users to register to ensure there is no abuse of the system.
From there, a user goes straight into the ChatGPT model page where you can input and enter your text commands. It is very simple and there is no specific format required, although specifying what you require is always a bonus. For example putting a question mark (?) at the end of a question will ensure the model does not misinterpret it as something else.
Below is an image of the ChatGPT page before inputting any text, and I have highlighted with the yellow arrow where a user inputs their commands. As you can see, the site also gives example, capabilities, and limitations.

Below is an extract from ChatGPT where I asked it to tell me more about Publish0x. While the information is not 100% correct, we currently get ETH, AMPL, and SPOT as tipping tokens, it is nice to see that the AI knows about it.

It doesn't stop with just asking ChatGPT questions. People are making use of ChatGPT to input their text before sending an email for example, allowing the AI to improve how they formatted their text. Another interesting function available with ChatGPT is to request for it to create a poem or a story by inputting the subject matter the user wishes to see created. An example of that is shown below, however, as noted in the limitations above, it can sometimes guess and make repetitive statements within. As someone who enjoys writing poetry, this both amazes and terrifies to me lol.

The more detailed the input, the better the response. For example, instead of "write a poem" a user could put "write a sonnet" and ChatGPT would then create the poem specifically as a sonnet. The same can be done for letters, stories, and almost any other written form of work a user could imagine. Pretty cool in my opinion.
Conclusion
The future is AI, and the future is here. ChatGPT is one of the more interesting AI applications I have encountered so far, as it allows user to interact with AI in a conversational way. While there are still bugs and the AI is still learning, it is quite soficistated and capable of making intelligent and interesting conversations. The AI is still leaning and therefore it will make mistakes, but it will also create before text based responses to almost any question a user could input. There are limitations including offensive ones, but the more ChatGPT is used the better it will become. Whether you want a nifty chat with AI to see what it can do, require a fancy piece of work written, or want a letter / emailed revied before sending it off, ChatGPT is here to help.
Have a great day.
Peace. CryptoGod-1.
