The Africa Blockchain Institute will open the first blockchain school in Rwanda in 2020

As we have been able to repeat on several occasions, Africa is a crucial continent for the growth of the crypto market and it is also the ideal place to experiment with new technologies since the lack of infrastructure generates what in jargon is called "leapfrogging" ; the best example of what is meant by leapfrogging comes from logistics, in fact, in Africa, road infrastructures are still very lacking, consequently, for deliveries, investments were made immediately on the use of drones. The lack of investment in a certain type of infrastructure, therefore, allows you to open up more quickly to technological innovation, since an opening in this direction does not pose all the critical issues that instead exist in a company where there is already an infrastructure of basis. Consequently, it is not surprising that the cryptographic industry looks to Africa with enormous interest, much less that, as reported by cointelegraph in an article yesterday, the ABI (acronym for Africa Blockchain Institute) has decided to invest in the opening of a blockchain school in Rwanda; if everything goes as planned, then, starting from 2020, five new university-level courses will be established in the country and will be aimed at students, developers and entrepreneurs.

And to think that here in Italy we are still led to consider Rwanda as a third world, instead the country is not stubbornly investing in innovation and it is no coincidence that the Africa Blockchain Institute has decided to give life to its courses right here; just think that just a few months ago Rwanda rose again to the fore in the global news for having put on the market the first smartphone entirely designed and built in Africa. Returning to our blockchain courses Babarinde, ABI executive director, said that the support and cooperation of the Blockchain DLT Rwanda Association and its president, Norbert Haguma, were a key factor in his decision to start school in the country; in more detail Babarinde confirmed what we have just written about Rwanda when it declared that:

Each technology company is looking for an environment that allows it to operate in a continental perspective; this implies the presence of support policies, resource management and market visibility. All this makes Rwanda an ideal hub to operate on the African continent.

At the same time recently Jack Ma, the CEO of alibaba, has had the opportunity to define Africa as the equivalent of China 20 years ago, saying that the continent is going to know a development and growth that will make it one of the main global players exactly as happened to the Asian giant; while in our country we are unable to put a stop to the rambling rhetoric of the invasion, therefore, Africa, far from wanting to move en masse to Europe, proves to be a continually growing continent not only from a merely economic point of view but also on a technological and social level.
