Bitcoin is getting profitable every single day. However you may notice that in order to make those small change transactions you have to take it down to the Lightning network or even on the L2. So one such new L2 is being released known as the Spark. 

This L2 made by the Spark team based on their experience with the lightning network wallet development and the development of the chain based products in the past. And that continues even in this L2. So lot of use cases covered with this new development. 

One of the use case that got my attention was the stablecoin. Like this can be a good chain for the bitcoin based stablecoins to launch. They can be on the L2 and also they can follow the bitcoin price being in the same ecosystem. However how many stablecoin companies and the chains pick it up remains to be seen. 

Lot of development lot of issues still though. Both the concept wise and also there are issues with it not being yet open as it is meant to be. It is made by lightspark team so there is some level of trust. But it's crypto we talk about people can release the products and randomly make the exits.
