South korea is working on a ledger based consumer payments. And for that they have created a project named Hangang. They have recently partnered with LG and Chainlink. The reason for chainlink involvement is for the oracle infrastructure. 

LG has been the tech exposure for the korean banks and the govt. And the Chainlink would be the oracle that is required for the ledger based payments and settlements. 

What would required for and what is in the offering? So basically this much work is being done because stablecoin settlements, tokenized assets and the settlements are in the game. Some of those are not easy to work around with as well. 

So LG being the lead in this tech infra they would be partnering up with variety of the service providers and set things up as well. Bank of korea has already done some test for the final ledger blockchain asset and settlements.
