Farcaster is like that open source project where you have to be yearly premium to avoid the crowd of twitter/X. And they have mostly the educated tech crowd and free from press and journo manipulation. Farcaster has been one of those social networks which are left leaning dominant but also lot of developers, investors and the people in tech who get censored on the X and twitter happen to roam. 

It's not one of the bluesky type app where pure left wing and woke stay. But here in the farcaster there are crypto users, developres, blockchain people happen to hang in. And the tipping culture is pretty common. So farcaster officially has BASE chain based tips of USDC and others. 

So the need for the noice was you can tip in any form of the crypto. And farcaster has decided to invest into it. 

That is not all they would be taking this service outside the farcaster too like on X and others. And they would be getting more funding and would experiment on the tokens for the integration on solana and others. It would happen slowly, arbitrum just happened recently. 

This can be handy for making use of the arbitrum to use bot based payments, timed payments and small bots in the community. So this is one of those tools which can be good for farcaster. They are the investors and also the prime users on their own platform.
