South korea is more into crypto than most of the nations. They used to trigger the yearly alt season during the october or so that it would trigger for the rest of the world. But then stablecoins were adopted by every nation and the alt-season has started slowing down. And now the Payments in the south korea has now locally settled with Solana too. 

KSNET is a payment provider and gateway is going to adopt the Solana blockchain for the settlement. And it has decided for the $4B monthly volume. 

South korea is one of those nations which makes adopting crypto through the local sales and the online e-com. Instead of approaching govt to support as a ledger based payments on their side. The payments are bank level settled. So the SOL based stablecoins which are accepted it would be possible to build around for local business.
