Hong Kong has approved the spot ETF into it's crypto market. And they are giving the license to the asset management companies over the period of time. And they are also studying how this market can be regulated, taxed and managed. Now as the USA is moving towards the staking of the Ethereum based assets be it on layer 1 and layer 2. There is a movement going on in Hong Kong too for the staking of Ethereum based crypto ETF spot assets. Which would make the interest based returns for holding the assets in staked form.
The growth of the ETF is slow in the Hong Kong market as the license given to the companies were slow pace and took a lot of time for the regulation too. So meanwhile the adoption is slow and the staking is one of the ways this can be revived. And also average consumer can be increased in the market. This would be something that they may consider for the growth.
Currently US does not offer any form of the staking rewards for the crypto spot ETF in the US market. However Hongkong offering this and creating international option would be increasing more investment on their soil. Which is likely to be the direction that is about to take. That is one of the things that has been observed.
You have 3 to 4 percent of the ROI in the crypto SPOT ETF. So you can easily make the crypto ETF work for you and maybe if they are open for international units that would also increase dollar cost averaging when the ROI starts kicking in. So for other 3rd world semi rich people this can come out as a diversifying option too. So this would age well if the regulation and international management works.
