Index funds are the dynamic set of fund that takes into the account the assets which are changing as per the market. And like stocks, crypto too fulfils this criteria. And it shows you how the funds make it easier for them to make the index funds based on the two top coins - bitcoin and Ethereum. 

They filed the Form S1 in the SEC. 

Knowing the Franklin Templeton in the world of the asset management and the wealth balancing type portfolios they seem to have handle on the INDEX funds too. They are going to make the one for crypto goes to show that the world we wanted to see on the blockchain is here. And it would be making more rounds for the use case soon. 

Bitcoin ETF from the Franklin Templeton is already here. And we just have to wait for the crypto index fund. Which would push the more market lifting of the bitcoin. And this also means we have a long way to go for now when it comes to the govt adopting this in their own treasury. If that happens we would see some really good market changes.

Next few years from here we would be seeing the digital assets being stores and exchanged. And the funds around them would be possible too. Though how much of that would yield and how long those assets would last is something that is debatable as well. So let's hope for something better with the crypto funds in upcoming times.
