Building Blockchain Game using GDevelop

Building Blockchain Game using GDevelop

By Novasky | DevPress | 27 May 2023

I wrote reviews on variety of games that are in the blockchain genre. And there seems to be pretty cool to integrate the blockchain transactions, nfts and other utilities that can be used with the Gdevelop. So in this article, I am going to put some pointer out for you to develop the games using the gdevelop tool.

Start with Gdevelop Basics

You need to put on some basics with the Gdevelop. Once you start moving with the basics, you have to then build on the levels. But all of that would wait and require some level of practice from your side. So start with some basics and also you should start with the small details.

You can find the rest of the playlist for the building with the gdevelop here.

Integrate Blockchain

You have plenty of options like polygon, Hive, flow, polkadot and even Ethereum. You can integrate the wallet and the various digital features even after the publishing the game. So having the blockchain usage can make things easier for you. Once the game gets enough download and also you add some value to the game, there is nothing that can stop you.

What about Marketing, Downloads and the Popularity?

That's a hard work isn't it? Sometimes when the game does not get the traction with the download and the other social media boost. So you have to pour in some money. And wait for those things to convert into your value in the wallet. In that sense it's reasonable to consider the chain to produce some quality through the efforts. So that discussion we can do at some other point. Because I am also learning this and have yet to come at strong conclusion on how to get success.

Are you into game development? Have you planned making blockchain game?
